The Friends of the Silver Lake LIbrary (FoSLL) promotes increased knowledge of the Los Angeles Public Library Silver Lake Branch by maintaining an association of persons interested in libraries; stimulating and promoting informed public interest in the Silver Lake Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, its services, facilities, and needs; encouraging and receiving gifts, endowments , and bequests to the library; supporting and cooperating with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community; sponsoring and encouraging volunteer service for FoSLL activities; promoting cultural and related programs for the community.
